Ivy Grace Rivera

In 2009, I graduated from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, Philippines, with a BSc in Nursing. l worked as an occupational health nurse for 3 years, and I enjoyed providing health education and promoting wellness and safety the most.

In 2014, I started to work as a medical writer at Cognizant Technology Solutions. It was a great opportunity to utilise my knowledge in science and develop my passion for writing while still contributing to improve patient care. Here, I learned much about regulatory writing and clinical research, and I found the industry very interesting and the work fulfilling, staying in the role for 7 years. I gained expertise in writing patient narratives in different therapeutic areas including oncology, cardiovascular, haematology, immunology, metabolic disorders, and rare genetic diseases. I also had the opportunity to do project management, which helped me grow as a medical writer and a leader.

In April 2022, I joined Bham Pharma to continue to grow in my career. I work on several types of regulatory documents such as patient narratives, investigator’s brochures, study protocols, and submission modules across various therapeutic areas. Medical writing is a constant learning experience, and I always look forward to gaining new knowledge each day.

Beyond the challenge of work and the comfort of home, you can find me enjoying music at a concert or exploring the world.
