Varsha Toshniwal

I completed my Bachelor degree in Pharmacy from Birla Institute of Technology, India. I was fascinated by drug formulation and processes so I went on to pursue postgraduate degree in Pharmacy specialising in Pharmaceutics. I was subsequently campus placed at a leading pharmaceutical company, where I worked as a formulation research scientist for 4 years. During this time I developed solid oral dosage forms for regulated markets. I also wrote technical reports for the products I developed, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I realised medical writing could be a good field for me as I had a flair for writing and loved science. 

I got an opportunity to work at ThermoFisher Scientific, UK as a Technical Writer for 2 years. In this role, I got a chance to write about In vitro Device Regulations (IVDR) compliant technical files for a portfolio of antimicrobial susceptibility medical devices. I was then selected at Bham Pharma to work as Medical Writer II. I have been working in this role since September 2022 and have since worked on many documents such as IB, Briefing Books, Protocols, submission modules, etc. I am thoroughly enjoying working at Bham Pharma as work is varied and interesting. The company has a good work culture with a great team and is growth centric. 

The best part about my role is helping new drugs and medical devices reach the market. It is hugely satisfying to play a part in improving patient care. In my spare time, I love to travel, enjoy mindful moments in nature and spend time with my family.
